Last updated: February 7, 2026
🔒 Privacy-First by Design
Dicky is built with privacy at its core. Your voice recordings and transcriptions are processed locally on your device by default. We only access your data when you explicitly opt into cloud features.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Voice Recordings & Transcriptions
When you use Dicky to record and transcribe voice notes:
- Local Processing (Default): Voice recordings are processed entirely on your device using on-device speech recognition. These recordings never leave your device unless you enable cloud features.
- Cloud Processing (Optional): If you enable cloud cleanup or sync features, your transcribed text (not raw audio) is sent to our servers for AI processing. This data is processed in real-time and not stored permanently.
1.2 App Usage Data
We collect anonymous usage analytics to improve the app:
- Number of recordings and average duration
- Feature usage patterns (e.g., cloud vs. offline processing)
- App performance metrics and crash reports
- Device type and OS version (anonymized)
This data is aggregated and cannot be used to identify you personally.
